The other day, there was a storm in the Inland Seto Sea pushing one meter waves into Akashi. I was really surprised to see surf that big but happy. Very cold but with a little snow. Painting the Inland sea is different to open ocean especially with the large mountains of Awaji behind the surf.

 In 1975, I traveled around Tasmania with my family in a campervan. During that trip, we came across and drove over a very old bridge, which I now know as the Richmond Bridge. This bridge was built by convicts in 1826 and it is reputedly haunted by the ghost of a murdered convict named George Grover. While he was, apparently, a cruel human being. the irony is that, ghost or not, George now has a wonderful view of the Coal River and Richmond
